It’s not an exaggeration to say that we’re proud of the qualifications we offer. When it comes to make-up qualifications, IMA accreditation is about the best validation you can get as an aspiring make-up artist.
But in the world of make-up artistry, experience counts for a lot – especially when it takes you out of your comfort zone. That’s why we’re so excited to host artists from the DNI make-up school in Spain. Like our students, artists at the DNI school study the IMA syllabus – and like our students, we know that new experiences will push their make-up skills to the next level.
The students from Malaga and Madrid took tutorials plus workshop from our top tutors over four days in what we can only describe as a real masterclass: First Francesco lo Cascio talked them through what it takes to create really impressive looks for photo sessions, then on the second day, Astrid Kearney – one of our favorite artists – taught them all about working for the catwalk. Finally, Tonee Roberio took them through amazing creative catwalk looks.
High fashion fantasy looks and a photo shoot in our in-house photographic studio made up the rest of their time in London.
And that’s why we’re always excited to partner with DNI: They understand that IMA qualification makes a skilful make-up artist, but new experiences shape the artist that they become. And the Spanish artists weren’t the only ones in town! Look out for more details on another collaboration soon.
